In the old pic the receiver was muted but now it's running 6.1 dts-es discrete (from Lord of the Rings Extended). Now that I've got a surround back speaker, I can actually use it (before it would display the 6.1 diagram on the right but only display 'dts'). Before this we had a Pro-Logic receiver. Yes it only decoded Pro-Logic.

The new box so we can get digital TV. Nice picture, good sound (better when I get another fibre optic cable). And with a hard disk drive, we can finally get rid of all our tapes!!

First component I bought. I have this outputting bitstream audio via a toslink cable to the receiver. Unfortunately I don't have a display good enough to use the component video out.

This gets quite a bit of use even though it only has 2ch analogue output. It's just started playing up recently so I should get it fixed. It also has a fashionable layer of dust under it.

Last but not least, the GameCube. Definitely the best console around; great games, comfortable controller (and first-party wireless!), compact design, what more do you want? (not those other hacks that have quantity rather than quality games ;) ) Well ok, the others do have their upsides, just thought I'd stir you PS2/XBox owners :P
